1. The Big Reveal Is Insanely Predictable

No spoilers here of course, but if you've paid even the least bit of attention to the film's trailers, you'll probably be able to guess the nature of The Equalizer 2's third-act twist.

It's pretty much the laziest and simplest reveal the filmmakers could've opted for, and consequently it's the most workmanlike and generic aspect of the entire movie.

Again, the entertaining performances basically make it work well enough, but it's a shame viewers weren't given a more sufficiently shocking rug-pull. It's a big reveal so obvious it almost feels like you're being set up for a fake-out, but alas, no such luck.

These gripes aside, however, The Equalizer 2 is a lot of fun if you go into it with appropriate expectations. Here's everything it gets right...
