A very exicting project is in the works from the two most talented directors in Korea. Chan-wook Park (Oldboy) and Joon-ho Bong (The Host) are teaming up to work on an English language adaptation of the French graphic novel La Transperceneige. Bong will direct the picture whilst Park will be on board to produce. More info from Coming Soon... "With shades of Noah's Ark, the story is set on a train that is the last refuge for human civilization on the run from a devastating ice age. The train is a microcosm of human society with its different classes of passenger mirroring different political and social strata". The movie has apparentaly one of the largest budgets in the history of Korean cinema and is said to be heavy on special effects. Awesome. This has now become one of the top 7 or 8 movies that are currently in production that I'm super exicted for. Oldboy is incredible and The Host looks like such a lot of fun, has anyone seen it yet? I think it's showing in a small cinema near me next month, I will hopefully get chance to see it. It's interesting that it's been shot in English language, they obviously want this to reach out to as wide an audience as possible. Coming Soon report that the movie should start shooting sometime next year..... I really think this is going to be something to watch out for. source - variety, coming soon
