8. Abbi Jacobson & Ilana Glazer As Flotsam & Jetsam

The Broad City duo have been branching out recently, with Abbi Jacobson starring in Disenchantment and BoJack Horseman, while Ilana Glazer has set off on her stand up tour as well as starring in Rough Night and (separately to Jacobson) also BoJack Horseman.

It’s undeniable though that the pair do their best work together, and seem like they’d be an excellent Flotsam & Jetsam. With Glazer taking the lead as the more devious eel and Jacobson as the bumbling follower, it could use their Broad City dynamic but spin it in a different direction.

Flotsam & Jetsam aren’t going to get much screen time, so it needs to be a double act who gets very funny very quickly, and is bursting with personality from the off. Broad City isn’t for everyone, but to its fans, that’s pretty much exactly what the show’s about.

The girls won’t get many lines, but with a halfway decent script, they’re sure to turn in a memorable performance.

If the gender flipped sidekicks are a little too much, a reunited Jordan Peele & Keegan Michael Key feel like excellent choices, or alternatively Simon Pegg & Nick Frost back in action again.
