2. The Solid Chemistry Between The Three Leads

If there's one thing above all else that The Marvels absolutely, positively needed to get right, it was nailing the chemistry between Carol, Monica, and Kamala, and in that sense it largely succeeds.

Most of the movie's strongest moments involve the trio getting acquainted with and riffing off one another - sharing their experiences as superheroes and rather speedily dropping their defenses.

Or in Kamala's case, just freaking out that she's teaming up with two bonafide superheroes.

Sure, the three actors are doing much of the heavy lifting here through their sheer charms given the rather inconsistent writing on offer, but simply hanging out with The Marvels ensures the film is anything but a chore to get through.
