5. Keanu Reeves & Carrie-Anne Moss' Solid Performances
If there's any glue whatsoever holding this film together, it's absolutely the rock solid work from Keanu Reeves and Carrie-Anne Moss as Neo and Trinity.
Both actors slink effortlessly back into their signature roles, and even for those bewildered by much of what happens throughout, Reeves and Moss' easy chemistry might do just enough to keep them entertained.
Reeves has always been perfectly cast as the blank slate that is Neo, and he mostly keeps that up here though with a welcome added air of self-awareness and wink-wink humour.
He sadly doesn't get nearly enough to do action-wise, especially given the prowess he still demonstrates in the John Wick films, but his performance is absolutely consistent with that of the original trilogy.
Moss is also very, very good as Trinity, bringing a humanity to her twisted arc throughout the film, and absolutely delivering on the action beats afforded to her.
Though Resurrections mercifully isn't just another nostalgia-bait sequel, it at least makes good on reminding fans how much they love seeing these two actors sharing the screen together.
