3. Bugs Almost Steals The Show

Resurrections is mostly focused on the series' original heroes and villains - and rebooted versions of them - while the new characters largely feel pretty underdeveloped as a result.

But by far the most compelling new addition is Bugs, the blue-haired hovercraft captain who helps fetch Neo and kickstart the rest of the movie.

While we don't learn too much about her past, between the neat character design and Henwick's athletic, steely performance, Bugs is perhaps the one new character who truly feels like they would've fit into the world of the original trilogy.

In a more lousy film she clearly would've been the "new Neo" who gets passed the mantle of The One, but Resurrections instead installs her as an attention-grabbing kickass supporting player.

If we do get any further Matrix sequels - though, honestly, the series should probably end here - hopefully Bugs is a part of it.
