7. If The Predator Wants To Help Humanity, Why Does It Keep Killing People?

So, we learn at the very end of the film that the "fugitive" Predator that arrives on Earth has come here to gift humanity a "Predator Killer", an Iron Man-like suit of armour which can repel even hardened, upgraded Predators.

Why, then, does the alien seem hell-bent on slaughtering pretty much every human being it comes into contact with?

Look, you can argue that some of the Predator's kills were "necessary" - especially when it's captured and naturally wants to escape - but did it really need to brutally slaughter Quinn's squadmate at the start of the movie?

And if the Predator really is making the effort to come to Earth to offer assistance, could it not have brought some non-lethal weaponry along for the ride?
