The Predator Teaser Trailer Reactions: 3 Ups & 6 Downs
1. Keep Calm & Remember: It's Shane Black
Though the trailer presents a lot to be concerned about, perhaps the most important thing to remember is that this is Shane Black, the writer-director who hasn't written or directed a critically-panned movie since Last Action Hero 25 years ago (which, if we're honest, is a totally underappreciated classic).
Black knows how to assemble a highly entertaining movie, and though this teaser trailer is incredibly rough around the edges, it's entirely possible the final execution will be far more assured. Fingers crossed Fox gets a new trailer ready shortly to combat the tidal wave of negativity that's already stemming from this ill-advised teaser.
If not, they can probably wave goodbye to those franchise plans.
