What does Thor: Love and Thunder's ending mean for the MCU?
The MCU's latest blockbuster is finally here and, well, it's something of a mixed bag. Thor: Love And Thunder has divided critics, with many calling it a major step down compared to the Marvel mainstay's previous outing, Thor: Ragnarok.
Still, this being a major MCU instalment and all, Taika Waititi's latest adds a huge chunk of mythology to the franchise's ever expanding world, and features major implications for characters going forward.
This time around, Thor, Valkyrie, Korg and a returning Jane Foster (transformed here into The Mighty Thor) are hunting down Gorr the God Butcher who, through the power of a mystical sword (known as the necrosword), is living up to his namesake and embarking on a murder spree through the realms.
While the story featured here may not have Thanos-level reverberations around the galaxy, it does mark a rather substantial change for this sub-franchise, and characters we know and love. So, let's jump into everything that went down in Love and Thunder's insane finale.
