6. Thor Loses Mjolnir...For Good?
Perhaps the film's most iconic moment occurs when Hela arrives in Norway (far from the original New York setting of the scene in trailers) to confront Thor, Loki and Odin, and after making short work of the Allfather, manages to catch Mjolnir when Thor swings it her way.
Thor is shocked and powerless as he watches Hela use her immense powers to shatter Mjolnir like glass, leaving the Asgardian without his iconic weapon which, surprisingly enough, he doesn't actually regain use of later in the movie.
Granted, Infinity War concept art has already shown Thor wielding the battle axe Jarnbjorn, but it's still pretty surprising that there wasn't even a hint, perhaps in a post-credits scene, of Mjolnir being repairable.
At least with Jarnbjorn and Thor's burgeoning new lightning powers, though, he's still going to be plenty powerful moving forward.
