10. Hela Is Working With Thanos

The Rumour: One of the more convincing pre-release rumours suggested that Hela was working with Thanos to bring Asgard down, and would essentially be filling the surrogate role of Death, who in the comics was Thanos' lover.

The Truth: Though this made a ton of sense, Thanos isn't mentioned at all by Hela and there's no indication to speak of that she was working with him. In fact, aside from Thanos' warship showing up in Ragnarok's mid-credits scene, the Mad Titan just isn't a fixture here.

It's a neat concept and was extremely plausible leading up to Ragnarok's release, but it was ultimately total bull.
