6. The Parachute Scene

Yet another moment recreated from the 2013 game involves Lara being caught in the interior of a plane that's hanging over the edge of a waterfall.

She thinks quickly and grabs the nearby parachute bag, just as the plane's windscreen shatters and she falls, still tightly gripping the bag.

The visual effects look a little off, but at least this quick glimpse seems to capture the spirit of the video game scene pretty damn well.

While it would be a huge mistake to make the film a beat-for-beat remake of the game's best moments, throwing a few crowd-pleasing ones in the mix makes a lot of sense, especially considering how few video game movies have any reverence for their source material whatsoever.
