Truth Or Dare Review: 2 Ups & 8 Downs

Truth: this movie sucks.

By Jack Pooley /

Blumhouse

If you're craving some deeply, deeply idiotic horror film nonsense right now, Truth or Dare probably still isn't the movie for you, unless your standards are gutter-level low, of course.

Critics have relished ripping the film a new one so far - yes, they were actually screened it in advance, surprisingly - and while it's sure to be a surging box office success when it's all said and done, it's ultimately another depressingly cynical Blumhouse trash-fire rather than the pleasant surprise we were all hoping for (like last year's Happy Death Day).

Unless you have Moviepass or a similar subscription service, there's no way to recommend spending your money on this. It's stupid, lazy and frequently groan-worthy teen-pandering slop that you're best saving for Netflix in a few months' time.

If you're still not deterred from seeing it, get all your favourite cinema snacks, slink down comfortably in your seat and let the awfulness wash over you. You were warned...
