Skeletons is the new horror film from JT Mollner, who turned many heads with his previous 2023 feature Strange Darling - an expectation-defying genre offering built around two terrific central performances.

And so it's easy to expect much the same from Skeletons - an adaptation of Philip Fracassi's short story "Fail-Safe," starring Brie Larson as a mother who is hiding a disturbing secret from her young son.

If you want to be spoiled on the precise nature of the mother's secret, you can read Fracassi's story for yourself, but needless to say, it should allow audiences to see Larson in a mode like they never have before.
