8. The House of the Dead Reboot

Enough time has passed since Uwe Boll's infamously terrible 2003 adaptation of hit zombie shooter The House of the Dead that Sega has finally decided to let Hollywood take another crack at it.

But any excitement about a new House of the Dead movie near-instantly evaporated when it was also announced that said film would be written and directed by Paul W.S. Anderson.

Anderson's polarising history with the Resident Evil franchise speaks for itself, and considering that he hasn't released a passably decent film since his Death Race remake way back in 2008, why expect any different here?

Anderson also revealed that the film will be skipping the first two games and adapting The House of the Dead III instead, despite the second game being the most popular entry and most obvious candidate for a big-budget adaptation.

There's absolutely no reason to expect anything good to come from this.
