3. Visitation

It's very rarely a good sign when a film spends years languishing in post-production purgatory - especially when it's a modestly budgeted horror film that, presumably, doesn't require much in the way of VFX work.

Visitation is an Irish horror film starring Olivia Cooke as a sick, dying mother whose teenage daughter (Isla Johnston) is sent away to live in a nunnery. 

The cast also includes Alfie Allen, Penelope Wilton, and Stephen Rea, while Nicolas Pesce (The Eyes of My Mother, The Grudge) directs.

The film wrapped production all the way back in February 2023, and more than three-and-a-half years later we still haven't heard anything about its release, let alone seen a trailer or even a single promotional still.

Considering that original production company Entertainment One's film and TV assets were sold to Lionsgate in late 2023, it's a fair assumption that Visitation has gotten lost in the business shuffle, and Lionsgate perhaps sees little commercial benefit in releasing it.
