20. The Last Witch Hunter 2

Does a single, solitary soul actually remember watching The Last Witch Hunter? This Vin Diesel-starring slice of fantasy-action junk quietly limped its way into cinemas in late 2015, where it was largely panned by critics and flopped at the box office.

It was an obvious one-and-done, then, except last September Lionsgate announced that they were indeed developing The Last Witch Hunter 2... for some reason.

Diesel is returning as star and producer, and here's the biggest surprise of all - despite announcing his retirement in October 2023, a 90-something Michael Caine will be reprising his supporting role as Dolan from the original film.

There's nothing quite like striking while the iron is ice-cold. 

Granted, there was little enthusiasm for this one back in 2015, but a solid decade since most people ever gave the original another thought, it's utterly baffling that a sequel genuinely appears to be happening. Make it make sense.
