6. Snowboarding

Two of the more interesting images in the montage feature a presumably younger David enjoying some downtime snowboarding alongside Brian.

While on the surface these simply seem like cherished memories of his freer youth, once again the film's dialogue subtly infers something else entirely. Early on he tells Sofia, "I used to be one of those guys that was just snowboarding through his life with no focus whatsoever."

Whether for better or worse, though, these moments are entrenched deep in his subconscious.
