9. Planet Of The Symbiotes
One of the most hilarious exchanges between Eddie and Venom in the movie sees Venom announcing that, on his home planet, he's a loser just like Eddie. This not only makes them kindred spirits but also allows Venom to flourish on the, erm, less competitive Earth.

This origin for Venom is taken from the 1995 limited-run comic series Planet of the Symbiotes, which also depicts what would happen if the symbiotes were allowed to run free on Earth, something Riot attempts to accomplish (in vain) at the end of the movie.
