15. The Daily Globe

We get another quick namedrop early in the movie: Anne (Michelle Williams) mentions that she doesn't want Eddie to repeat a prior incident over at the Daily Globe.

In Marvel Comics the Globe is the rival to the Daily Bugle, and is the publication Eddie Brock worked for when Spider-Man exposed his fraudulent reporting, setting him on his villainous path.

This is clearly more of a quick nod than any wider implication of Brock having crossed paths with the web-slinger in the past. And considering how critics have been trashing this movie, Tom Hardy probably won't be sharing a screen with Tom Holland any time soon.
