12. Dr. Skirth's Dumb Off-Screen Death
If Dora Skirth's ill-researched projection for Earth's annihilation wasn't foolish enough, she then decides to give up Eddie Brock's name to Carlton Drake, under the pretence of helping him get treatment for the symbiotic infection.
Anyone with a working pair of eyeballs, however, would know that Drake's up to no good, and considering the guy's already freely killed many poor and homeless people - in front of Skirth, no less - why on Earth would he keep you alive after ratting him out to Eddie?
Dora somehow doesn't realise this, giving up her only piece of leverage and then being exposed to the blue symbiote, which fails to bond with her, causing both of them to die.
Oddly we don't actually see Dora's death on-screen, just a lame cut to the aftermath. Given the character's apparent importance in this story, it's pretty strange to see her disposed of like an afterthought.
