9. The Red Wedding

The film's climax has a most unexpected backdrop - a cathedral, where Cletus and Frances plan to finally tie the knot.

And because pop-culture hasn't ever thought up a Game of Thrones reference it could resist, Carnage ends up calling their union "The Red Wedding."

The wedding is of course interrupted by Eddie/Venom, who show up to rescue a kidnapped Annie, though for a moment Venom seems far more interested in whether the service will offer canapes.

An absolutely absurd fight scene follows, where a priest gets his head bitten off by Carnage, Dan helps tend off Carnage with a blowtorch, and mediocre CGI fills the screen in almost every second. It's better than the climax of the first film, at least.
