4. Dogma (1999)

Other than Jay & Silent Bob's Super Groovy Cartoon Movie!, Dogma is the furthest removed movie in the View Askewniverse series.

Here, Jay and Silent Bob are two prophets put on a quest with the 13th apostle, a muse and the Last Scion to stop two fallen angels from entering a church and erasing existence.

With a stellar cast - including Salma Hayek, Matt Damon, Ben Affleck and the phenomenal Alan Rickman - Dogma is an excellent film. It shows that even the most unlikely group of people can make a difference... and also God looks exactly like Alanis Morissette.

A better road trip movie than Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back, Dogma is a fantastic religious comedy.

Interestingly, Matt Damon's Dogma character of Loki would also return in a future movie in the franchise. Which brings us nicely to our next entry.
