It might sound like a fake movie you'd expect to see inside another movie, but Jason Statham Stole My Bike is indeed a real motion picture that recently wrapped shooting in the UK and Malta.

Wider plot details are thin on the ground, but the film is said to be a meta action-comedy in which The Stath plays a fictional version of himself and presumably half-inches somebody's bike.

We know that the movie is being directed by Deadpool 2 and The Fall Guy filmmaker David Leitch, while the script has been penned by BoJack Horseman and School of Rock TV alum Alison Flierl, but not a single other cast member has yet been announced.

Considering that Statham is one of the most consistently bankable action stars working today, and he's proven himself such a dab hand at comedy in the past, this could very well end up one of next summer's big surprise hits.
