Let's kick this list off with one hell of an enticingly weird, genre-bending horror film.

Stuffed is a musical body horror romance starring Jodie Comer as Araminta, a loner taxidermist who is obsessed with the idea of finding a human being she can stuff.

Enter Bernie (Harry Melling), a lonely man who longs to be remembered and just might be the answer to all of Araminta's yearning - but of course, the two begin to fall in love.

That's... certainly a deranged premise for actors as high-profile as Comer and Melling to take a swing at, without even remembering the fact that this is a musical on top of all this.

Reviews from its recent TIFF premiere have veered mixed-positive, many praising the central two-hander between the duo, even if the response to the music and its near-two-hour runtime was decidedly more polarised.

Watching Comer and Melling get freaky in the horror genre, though? That's an easy sell regardless.
