There's been a surprising uptick in toilet-centric horror films in recent years, what with the likes of Scared S**tless, Glorious, Flush, and Holy S**t!, and now we have the absolutely unhinged Bowels of Hell.

This delirious horror-comedy takes place in an apartment complex with cursed plumbing which has caused the tenants' toilets to develop a taste for blood.

Yup - it's a film about cursed, killer toilets, because why the heck not?

Reviews from its festival premiere earlier this year have largely praised the film's full-throated commitment to hurling a whole ton of both blood and poo at the screen, even if the near-two-hour runtime received some pushback.

Considering how tough it is to come up with a creative riff on the "possessed object" horror movie these days, though, kudos to the filmmakers for taking one of the most intimate objects used by basically every person on Earth and making it something to be feared.
