Who Will Be Snyder’s Superman Villain? Not ZOD!

Last week I mused over who I thought was going to be picked to play opposite the new 'Superman' in the Zack Snyder-helmed film, and now it seems I've got part of my answer. Snyder has told BadTaste that General Zod will not be the villain in the reboot: though, he only went as far as to say that the character's mooted inclusion was merely a "rumour for now"- but really, if they haven't yet got a villain in mind I would be amazed.

Whether this means that Snyder will resist including any villains who have appeared in any of the films is open to interpretation, but I think he would be a fool to openly rule out Lex Luthor at this stage, and I think it says something that the director has made a conscious effort to debunk the rumour that Zod was already heading the queue for selection but hasn't moved to mention Luthor at all yet.

Does that mean we haven't seen the last of the baldy baddie?
