14. "It's All For You" - The Omen

Several scenes from The Omen could've landed their way on this list, but the one everyone remembers is surely the incredibly unnerving death of Damien's (Harvey Spencer Stephens) sweet nanny (Holly Palance).

Damien's fifth birthday party is suddenly interrupted by the nanny being diabolically compelled to hang herself from the roof of the Thorn family's home, in front of the innocent eyes of countless children no less.

The juxtaposition of a child's birthday party with a brutal suicide is one thing, but it's the nanny's behaviour leading up to it that really makes the scene unforgettable. 

Her wide, euphoric smile as she shouts, "Look at me, Damien! It's all for you!" and ends her own life without hesitation is so much more disturbing than even the goriest deaths in the movie, the sheer overpowering eerie strangeness of it confirming beyond any doubt that something ain't quite right with young Damien.
