1. Is Ares Really Dead?

The Question: With Diana defeating Ares at the end of the movie, is the God of War really dead once and for all?

The Likely Answer: Though it's easy to consider the possibility of Ares returning during World War II given how much deadlier it was than WWI, the only real likelihood of Ares returning would be in a contemporary movie, as Diana is being moved into the present-day from this point forward.

Having Diana fight Ares once again in the modern day sequel would just feel lazy, and with the two Justice League movies already setting up Steppenwolf and Darkseid as their main villains, it doesn't leave much room for him. Basically, he's toast.
