3. Diana Takes Part In World War II

The Rumour: After conquering Ares, a closing sequence will show Diana also taking part in World War II, where she helps the Allies fend off the Nazis.

The Truth: Following the end of WWI, it's implied that Diana hangs up her superhero persona until she's called out of retirement in Batman v Superman, so no, there's absolutely no truth to her making an appearance in WWII.

Diana staying out of WWII hammers home the impact Steve's death had on her, so randomly hurling her into WWII in the final few minutes of the film would've undermined that and probably felt quite rushed. Plus, Captain America did it already.
