6. Thewlis Is Ares

This one probably depends on how much attention you paid in the run-up to the movie: it was spoiled a while back that Thewlis was indeed playing the villain Ares, although officially being kept as a twist for the movie.

Having already known it was coming, it's harder to say just how well the twist worked, but since it's a reveal a lot of people won't have known, and he's the main villain, it's still a big deal. Especially since it reveals Ares, a God, to be real, which is even bigger than him being in the body of David Thewlis really.
