More disguised bad guys?!

There's a good chance that we'll find out a lot more about the recently announced Wonder Woman 1984 when Warner Bros appear at San Diego Comic Con soon. The film should be a key part of the studio's Hall H presentation, after all and that should fill in some of the gaps.

So far, we know that the film is set in the 1980s, that Chris Pine is confusingly returning and that Kristen Wiig is in as villain Cheetah. Other than that, it's all a bit of a mystery (which is not a bad thing in this age of spoilers and too many leaks), but there are now a couple of pretty big plot-related rumours out there pointing at Pine's real role and a secret villain's involvement.

Obviously, the rumours come with the usual caveat - take them with a pinch of salt - but both do fit the logic already established by the first Wonder Woman movie and both would actually be positive developments for the plot. And hopefully, both should go some way to helping ensure that the third act of the sequel is stronger than the end of its predecessor, which was almost universally counted as the weakest part of the film. Fingers crossed, anyway.
