While it's definitely smart to be cautious where trailers for movies from the DC Extended Universe are concerned, it's hard not to be won over by this visually kinetic, thrilling and even humourous look at Warner's latest attempt to course-correct their critically flagging franchise.

Far more than a goofy period superhero flick as many surely expected, Wonder Woman clearly has huge potential to be a monstrous hit and reinvent a major role model for young women in a totally epic way.

The promise is certainly all there. From Easter eggs through to character revelations and straight-up gorgeous shots to savour, here are 20 things you need to see from the second Wonder Woman trailer...

The shot doesn't have much more utility here than serving as an establishing image and letting viewers know the superhero origin story won't be a 100% period flick.

As for why she's in France, beyond it being a nice change of scenery from the U.S.-dominated prior DCEU films? Well, Diana is an antiques dealer in this continuity, so what better place to operate a business than The Louvre, right?
