20. A Mother's Love

Here's the first look at Connie Nielsen's Queen Hippolyta, telling her daughter she is her greatest love. For the Queen that means something more than maternal love; in the comics she was so compelled by her need for a child that she made one out of clay before the Gods gave life and power to it.

If this isn't the sequence that sees Diana leave her home, I would be very surprised. And likewise, it's inevitable that Hippolyta resists Diana's urge to fly the nest at first.
