14. Melted Jason - Friday the 13th Part VIII: Jason Takes Manhattan

Pretty much every Friday the 13th movie has shown Jason Voorhees unmasked at some point, and while the quality has varied somewhat throughout the series, it was only Part VIII: Jason Takes Manhattan which showcased an unmasked Jason so terrible it induced more laughter than horror.

At the end of the movie, unmasked Jason looks like a ridiculously cheap, inarticulate papier-mâché monkey mask your halfway-talented kid cousin might make - not a quality piece of craftsmanship in what was the most expensive Friday the 13th movie at the time.

Ultimately, it's easy to assume that most of the film's budget was blown on the New York City shooting locations, and the Jason reveal is made all the worse considering how incredible he looked in the previous film, Part VII: The New Blood.

In this case, Jason's unmasking was so pitiably bad that the filmmakers should've probably just kept the mask on him for once.
