X-Men: Apocalypse - 10 Things From The Comics That Could Feature

By Percival Constantine /

5. Mr. Sinister

Of course, if Apocalypse is around, Mr. Sinister is often not far behind. A Victorian-era scientist, Sinister was obsessed with evolution and made a deal with Apocalypse, which granted Sinister virtual immortality. For decades, Sinister has been working behind the scenes, trying to control mutant evolution. He€™s also developed a grudge against Apocalypse and seeks to destroy him. And Sinister believes only the offspring of Scott Summers and Jean Grey (Cable) is capable of doing such a thing. Like Apocalypse, Sinister was also created in the 80s. But despite their relatively short time in existence in comparison to other X-Men villains, both Sinister and Apocalypse have risen to become two of the team€™s arch-enemies, on par with Magneto himself. It seemed like it would only be a matter of time before Apocalypse turned up in the movies and now that he is, the stage could also be set for Sinister€™s debut. Sinister could serve a number of different functions in X-Men: Apocalypse. For one, he could be presented as one of Apocalypse€™s minions, biding his time and learning what he can, waiting for his moment. Or he might be an unlikely ally of the X-Men€™s in order to eliminate Apocalypse from the field.
