X-Men: Apocalypse - 14 Things You Need To Know

By Brogan Morris /

2. Psylocke And Caliban Will Both Feature

Of the new mutants showing up in X-Men: Apocalypse, one of the more interesting is Psylocke, a katana-wielding telekinetic. Psylocke could be briefly seen in The Last Stand, played by Meiling Melancon; this time the higher-profile Olivia Munn will take Pyslocke on, suggesting the character will be given more to do in Apocalypse. More tantalising, though, is the introduction of Caliban, a character who - unlike Psylocke - has never been seen in the X-Men movie series. His inclusion here makes sense, considering he's one of Apocalypse's Four Horsemen in the comic books, but it's unclear at the moment whether his connection with the Morlocks will come into play in the film. A photo taken by Singer of the character's "place of business", a murky old underground lair, suggests Caliban's connection to the Morlocks, mutant outcasts who've forged a life out of sight of people, will feature. Expect his ability to locate fellow mutants to play a significant part in the story.
