Why He Could Live: While the X-Men films have killed off some of their antagonists, its hardly the MCU-like guarantee that the villain is going to die at the end of the film. Just because hes an all-powerful threat doesnt mean Professor X wont strive to find a more peaceful solution to stopping him, as he has before.
Regardless of what the story calls for, theres also the question of whether Apocalypseis even capable of dying. Heappears to be an immortal being, sothe best the X-Men may be able to hope for is putting him back to sleep for a while.
Why He Could Die: Apocalypse is simply too powerful to be left alive. The scope of his abilities is too much of a threat to be left unchecked and death may be the only permanent way of solving it. Even Professor X would have to realize that.
Some of the X-Men will certainlynot like it, soperhaps someone like Magneto will step in to do the dirty work. It could be a crucial moment when they have to face the reality that this is the only way to truly stop Apocalypse.
