The first officially released trailer for Bryan Singer's X-Men: Days of Future Past came out yesterday, just days after Marvel Studios unveiled their trailer for the follow-up to Captain America: The First Avenger, this time subtitled The Winter Soldier. The film is a sequel to the hugely successful X-Men: First Class and is a time travelling saga based on one of Marvel's most successful mutant story arcs ever. The X-Men from the original movies must travel back in time to join forces with their younger selves in a battle to not only preserve their species, but also prevent the future from being destroyed entirely. If that doesn't sound suitably bonkers, then you should probably just give up now.... Joining the new-look X-Men will be Hugh Jackman's Wolverine, who only appeared in First Class briefly during a hilarious cameo. This time we get to see him interact with the younger X-Men characters as well as remind us all exactly why he is the X-Men franchise's key player.
