6. The Lack Of Failsafe In Alkali Lake

20th Century Fox

No matter how entertaining Apocalypse is, it's populated by some serious idiots who are the agents of their own downfall - including, inevitably Colonel Stryker's crew at Alkali Lake. This is an operation trusted with mutant experimentation and control, with a massive budget (given the size of the place and the technological advances), and yet it is policed by mooks and has absolutely no security failsafes.

If you're in possession of a crazed mutant weapon who is basically immortal and have a holding cell that you know will at some point house equally dangerous mutants, why wouldn't you use the extremely powerful dampening field technology everywhere?

The mysterious kryptonite-like green lights (which seem to suggest that Stryker's team have somehow mastered gene therapy decades in advance to such a degree that they can target a specific one with light) don't affect humans, so why not put them throughout the facility? It's literally the most ridiculous decision, given that a few extra bulbs would have stopped what ends up being a bloody massacre.
