X-Men: Apocalypse Final Trailer Breakdown - 26 Things You Need To See

"We had a little help."

I've been unbearably excited for X-Men: Apocalypse ever since Stryker's eyes flashed Mystique-yellow at the end of Days Of Future Past - the series has now escaped its muddy past and can forge forward in an exciting timeline where, if the Sentinels were anything to go by, anything's possible.

After the second trailer I was a little underwhelmed - it wasn't a bad tease per se, but it just seemed to offer very little fresh and suggested a rather static narrative (you could pretty much piece together a fairly detailed version of the plot from it). Well, I guess I was wrong - the new new trailer's hit and we're right back to the top. The mutant ensemble here look incredible, with a massive cast of superpowered beings debating and fighting on a global scale.

There's also Wolverine. That's kinda cool. Check it out below.

So, as is customary on new trailer day (an event that's feeling more common than usual recently), let's break it down and see what things we can learn about X-Men: Apocalypse (ignoring the footage that's straight up repeated from previous trailers, of course).

26. The School Is Open

We begin the trailer like every X-Men trailer is contractually obliged to - at Xavier's School for Gifted Youngsters. Nothing major about that, except that it tells us that when the movie begins we're at something of a base level for the series - Professor X is teaching students and chilling in his pad.

And this is definitely from the start (none of that tricksy end-editing from the last trailer) - we can see Charles still has his luscious locks.
