Just because we have the typical status quo doesn't mean the movie will start out happy. We get an exchange between Charles and Raven about the state of the world and mutant-kind, with the pair having very different views.

"Things are better," says Charles, "The world is better." Looks like all that faff in Washington with attempted assassinations had a good impact in the end.

Or not. "Just because there's not a war doesn't mean there's peace," replies Mystique. To have these two characters debating makes sense given their retconned history, although there is an underlying sense of the mutant-pride that, in the original timeline, led to her siding with Magneto.

The exchange ends with Mystique saying "He's coming." While in the trailer it serves as a nice lead-in to the film's big bad, I don't think this is from the same conversation - Lawrence's voice sounds different and it doesn't quite fit what they're discussing. Damn you tricksy trailer editors.
