Yes, Sassy Alfred Will Be Back For Justice League: Part One

Rolling his eyes until they get stuck, no doubt.

After winning a surprisingly amount of praise for his sassy, sarcastic performance as Alfred the "butler" in Batman v Superman (he's more a strange grumpy companion/facilitator than a servant really), Jeremy Irons has confirmed he's going to be back for Justice League: Part One.

Talking to Showbiz411, Irons mentioned that he's returning to the fold for the ensemble that is currently the subject of apparent creative friction between Zack Snyder and Warner Bros.

It's good news - even if it's not entirely unexpected: Irons' performance had a lot of promise in BvS, restoring the image of Alfred as a slightly put-upon ally rather than the almost maternal over-zealous protector Michael Caine had become by the end of the Nolan trilogy. He's more like an amalgamation of M and Q from the Bond series, with a mix of their intolerance and affection for their charge.

He's also inevitably going to be coming back for Ben Affleck's Batman stand-alone too.
