10 Announced Video Games That Are NEVER Coming Out

10. Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic Remake

Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic is one of the most beloved RPGs of all time, despite how undeniably dated it is, and so there was tremendous excitement when Aspyr and Sony announced a remake in September 2021.

We're now coming up on four years since the announcement, though, and we've seen not a single sliver of gameplay - a concerning fact even with the protracted nature of modern AAA games development.

More unsettlingly, reports have detailed a challenging production, with Aspyr firing numerous prominent team members, after which the developer was removed from the project and replaced with Saber Interactive.

By 2023, insider Jeff Grubb called the game "dead," and to make matters even worse, Saber was sold off by its parent company Embracer in March 2024.

This past March Saber CCO Tim Willits made a vague reference to the game still being in development, but considering we've seen nothing to date, it's tough to have any faith in this ambitious remake ever actually coming to market.
