10 Announced Video Games That Are NEVER Coming Out

5. The Last Night

The Last Night remains one of the most buzzed-about E3 reveal trailers of the last decade, with the cinematic cyberpunk platformer being first shown off at E3 2017, where its presence overshadowed many higher-profile AAA titles.

Development faced a swift and unexpected complication, though, when social media remarks made by director Tim Soret in 2014 - many of them deemed anti-feminist - were uncovered. This led to a campaign from some asking publisher Raw Fury to drop support of the game.

The Last Night ended up missing its planned 2018 release date, apparently a result of business, legal, and financial issues, and Raw Fury parted ways with developer Odd Tales around this time, leaving them to self-publish the game.

Updates soon ground to a half, though, and while last year Soret posted on the game's subreddit asking fans to "let [us] cook," the lack of substantial updates over the last eight years makes it difficult to believe The Last Night was ever anything more than an impressive, gassed-up tech demo.
