It's a hellish area, riddled with witches who can fire devastating soul arrows from afar and perilous pits hidden in the waters surrounding the winding path forwards. All the way through, a beautiful female vocal track is heard and you assume the maidens hiding in huts along the way are the ones singing. Oh, if only that were the case.Of course, it turns out the Demon of Song was the Beyoncé wannabe of Dark Souls 2 all along, and this is one diva you do not want to put a ring on. It's a grotesque frog-like monster with a skull hidden inside a peel-back layer of rotten flesh, and it sings to lure people into its lair before eating them. Not quite Kermit, then, but likely just as big a fan of sing-a-longs about being green. This terrifying beast would fit in perfectly on even the darkest Guillermo Del Toro flick.
