While Elden Ring does feature a co-op multiplayer component, it's limited to summoning a player into your instance, and the co-op play will end when either the boss in the area is defeated or the summoned player dies.

But the mod, released in May by LukeYui, theoretically allows up to four PC players to play the game together from start to finish. The restrictions in the base release are all gone, and your progress throughout the game is even shared.
