10 Best Gaming Soundtracks Of 2012

4. Max Payne 3

Though Max Payne 3 may not have stolen every awards ceremony it entered, it produced another memorable experience in the steps of the alcoholic hero we know as Max. Unsurprising to most, it was a decent title, worthy of the series. However, what was surprising was the quality of the score in the game, using not the usual suspects in conductor and symphony orchestra; but an unknown noise rock band.

It was mainly created by the 'Health', and consisted of heavy, noisy, and lound music. Each distorted note takes us into the mind of a severely troubled man, living with addiction and immense loss. Each layer of sound builds on one another to become an incredibly surreal score, creating difficult listening in a game difficult to play. For an adult, mature, game; it has an adult and mature score.

But hey, it's Max Payne. What would you expect, the Two Best friends play theme?
