9. Omniwrench - Ratchet & Clank
Ratchet & Clank is not a series that's short of an impressive weapon or two (hundred). Massive guns and bomb launchers can be acquired and upgraded through the duo's adventures, but it's something much simpler than any of those that really stands out in these games.
The titular Lombax's various Omniwrench gadgets look pretty unassuming at first, but they quickly prove to be so much more. Given Ratchet's flair for mechanics, the tool's practical uses are obviously of major benefit throughout the galaxy.
