9. South Park: The Stick Of Truth

Not content with aping the heck out of the genre by way of landmark episode, Make Love, Not Warcraft, show creators Matt Stone and Trey Parker went even further by bringing fans this exemplary role-playing game. Teaming up with Obsidan Entertainment, Stone and Parker€™s story sees Cartman and co facing Nazi zombies, crab creatures, freaky kids and bizarre bosses all of whom have been taken under the spell of the game€™s eponymous MacGuffin. Like Obsidian€™s Fallout: New Vegas, players can enjoy full customisation when creating their interpretation of the game€™s playable New Kid, allowing you to choose from a selection of classes - fighter, mage, thief and, erm, Jew - to steer what type of battler he will be. Utilising an in-battle wheel system, players can choose from standard melee to special attacks and even call in unique characters to take down their foes. Any given scrap features a balance of turn-based fighting and timed button presses, which keeps the game fresh throughout its duration. Throw in ability upgrades, funny support items and a collectable system that encourages players to explore the game€™s open world (ish) terrain, with the added benefit of gaining battle enhancements with every Facebook friend added or Chinpokomon toy discovered, and we have a bona fide gaming hit from TV€™s leftfield. Kick-ass.
